Adolescent..

Feeling Exhausted and Out of Ideas in Relating to an Easily Frustrated, Explosive Adolescent?

Do Any of These Situations Hit Home for You?

  1. Does your teen seem to explode out of the blue?
  2. Does your teen lack boundaries?
  3. Does your teen struggle in social situations?
  4. Is your teen aggressive or violent toward you or others?
  5. Is your teen hyper?
  6. Is your teen impulsive?
  7. Does your teen procrastinate and put things off (chores, homework)?
  8. Does your teen have low self-esteem?
  9. Does your teen appear lazy and unmotivated?

Yes? Believe it or not, your teen is not acting this way intentionally. Teens do well if they can (not if they want to). My goal is to help teens and their families have more peaceful interactions. We will do this together by exploring where the communication breakdowns occur, and then we will practice healthy communication tools that fit your family dynamics. Often times, teens lack some of the basic cognitive skills to make good decisions or solve problems, and these are skills that can be taught.
